Good morning my friends. Today is my daughter’s 10th birthday (it is scary she is now in double digits!), and so I am writing today’s blog under a badly made banner of rose gold, pink and white tassels lol. It is making me smile though, as she just sees the effort I went to, to make her day a little different and all about her. I hope you have something in your day helping you smile.
Today I wanted to tell you how easy it is to design your own jewellery, maybe for yourself because we all deserve a treat right now or maybe for a loved one, you might want them to know you are thinking about them and a specially made piece of jewellery designed by you will do just that. Plus what says you are unique like a one of a kind piece of jewellery, made especially for you?
First thing is to get in touch, you will not be obligated to commit to anything, but it may help you decide if this is indeed the process you would like to go down. From this we can either have a video chat, a phone call or if an email conversation is your thing then that is how we will do it, whichever is easiest for you.
I will take you through your ideas or if you don’t have any I will guide you in your thought process by asking some questions related on the person that will be wearing this personal gift. By the end of it hopefully we will have designed a piece that you will be happy with and we can work together.
Also, I make jewellery using materials that have created memories from trips and outings, such as sea glass, shells or maybe a leaf? I started doing this from items I have collected when out and about with my family and I can tell you the story behind each one. If you have any such items that you would like to cherish forever, then this is the perfect way to do this and keep it close to your heart forever.
One of the reasons I love giving jewellery as a gift is because it will last our lifetime and beyond. It can be handed down through the generations. Even if the next generation doesn’t like the design it can be melted own and reshaped into a design they like, it does not go to waste and it means they have created a new memory and story. Did you know that silver does not lose any of it great qualities during this process? Therefore, I use recycled silver as much as possible plus it is helping to reduce the affects of mining and the affects it has on our environment.
We are now getting close to Christmas, so I have limited time available to make commissioned jewellery. If you are interested please contact me as soon as possible. The deadlines for commissioned jewellery that will be posted is November the 23rd and the deadline for commissioning a piece of jewellery which can be collected is December the 7th.
